What is test & tag?
Testing ensures the item works safely, and tagging is the way of marking it to show it has been tested. This is important for workplace safety, to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations. It is compulsory for all electrical items to be tested and tagged. This includes power boards, cables and lights. However, laptops/chargers and new items will not need to be tested and tagged.
How can I organise for the electrician to come and test & tag my items?
Is this free?
Yes, the AGHA covers the cost. However, there is a 5 item limit. If you have more than 5 items to be tagged, you may be charged.
